Standards that could've just been OWL

The classic XKCD comic about standards sums up some very common dynamics.

Here I'm compiling a list of standards that really could've just been done in OWL. The tricky part is that OWL is schema language, less a particular schema, so its actually not a replacement for specific formats like CalDAV or RSS, because those could be implemented in OWL is a certain sense.
